Front stoep ideas

Late to the party here, but my observation is this space lacks any visual stimulation. Why not look at something like a planted wall or vertical garden to bring some interest to the bland walls. I love the table and chairs, what direction is this entrance facing?
The below image is what I imagine, easy to care for hardy Philodendron varieties which can be easily propagated should the need arise.

Closing the stoep and breaking out the front door wall isn't a bad idea at all.
Will be pricier but definitely worth it I reckon. It's already under a proper tiled roof which would make it fit in as a part of the actual house, instead of a stupid little stoep

You might be surprised at the cost, given that your roof structure and everything is already there... you're looking mostly at 2 new walls, a new door and window probably, and some "Make good" in terms of breaking out the old front door and plastering and such.

Will definitely be more expensive than just prettying up the space, but I think you could probably enclose that space for a reasonable figure actually.

One element though that might be expensive(ish) to do, but I think you would need to is to make sure that the bottom course of bricks matches the existing exterior look.
