I work mostly outdoors and need to drink much.
I don't like the taste of bottled water and believe it is plain H2O, no good minerals, etc.
I take water [tap water] that went pass a sand filter, etc in bottles every day.

Cold drink is often nice, but it contains lots of sugar.

So I prefer fruit juice, the normal orange juice, not liquic fruit.
But now I wonder, is their still anything good in that bottle.
Is there vitamins in, or is everything killed to last longer.

Or is it better to buy game powder and mix it with water.

The problem with fruit juice is the sugar. It has a lot. Sure a cup every now and then might be fine, but I wouldn't recommend drinking the stuff like water. Imagine how many oranges went into 1 cup of the stuff.

Rather just drink water.

Mix it with a tiny bit of Oros for flavour. I don't know the stats of Game but the way I mix my Oros it's ~8g of sugar per liter.

rather just drink the water and eat the fruit during a break. People are too crazy about vitamins which allows things like vitamin water which is basically jungle jum with a few added minerals and sold for like 18 bucks. Probably costs about R1 to make.

Water is the main fluid and should be the only fluid you drink. Sure if you training or sports day or something you have substances and drinks that will increase your performance but that is done with sugar and nothing else. If you want to keep healthy stay with the water and eat the fruits after, it will be cheaper and healthier as you dont get the juice (and fructose) of 10 fruits in 250mL when normally you can only eat 2

Also taking to much vitamins can be very bad most of the time you making expensive p**s but if you over do it with your fat solubles there will be trouble healthwise. An overdose of vitamin K for example can be fatal, normally (and naturally) you wont encounter vitamins in high concentrations that you would in supplements but when you take supplements then eat as if you never taken supplements then tyou asking for it.

The role of water is to be the final acceptor of hydrogen in the last turn of the krebbs cycle that releases energy in the metabolic break down of glucose, hence its essential. You cannot replace it you body will extract it from any source it can.

The only people that should be obsessed with vitamins and minerals are those with malnutrition (severe not some fatso at mcdonalds) and pregnant woman.

If your work is physical I recommend you rather eat less more frequently as you will need proteins to prevent the catabolic effects on your muscles

+1

Get yourself accustomed to drinking water.

Fruit juice is very bad for you if you drink it "like water" (as Pooky says). It's very high in fructose and can lead to diabetes.

Moderation in all things is key.

Being a diabetic I can agree with Lycanthrope, fruit juice is very bad for you, due to the high sugar content from so much concentrated fruit. In my instance is messes up my glucose levels quite badly.

As a substitute, I invested in a soda steam dispenser and now drink soda water as I find water quite boring. Sometime I add Roses Lime Juice for a bit of flavour to the soda water. Roses has got quite expensive for a 750ml bottle so I buy a 2L bottle of the stuff. (Pick & Pay has the 2L Roses Lime Juice for less than 60 bucks and lasts me about 2 months) The lemon flavour works very well as a great thirst quencher and does not impact on my glucose levels.

Seeing that the OP drinks filtered water already, try adding a lemon juice/lime juice to the water as a thirst quencher and see if that helps.

Also, very good sensible advice from RiaX and Pookie

Water or naartjie isotonic game I like.
I still have a glass of fruit juice or whole fruit just about every day though.

Fruit is fine but try drink with something that has fibre in it or you may as well drink coke.

Try buy fresh fruit juice, not this 20% nonsense. Sir juice is amazing but again a bowl of oats or something before drinking it would be ideal. Buy fibre capsules then drink away but honestly water is just so such better.

Fruit Juice has two to three times the sugar that is in soft drinks.
If you really want fruit juice, you need to dilute that crap down.

Buy yourself a juicer and make your own :)

Put in a good mix a of fruits and vegetables (whatever's in season), including the usual like oranges, apples, carrots, guavas (two or three), tomato (one or two), peaches, pears (one or two) pumpkin, strawberries, etc, etc.
Adding the vegetables not only tastes nice, but it reduces some of the sugar content.
It can be a little too sweet if there are no vegetables.

There are so many fruits and vegetables like watermelon, pineapple, kiwi's, celery (not too much, very powerful taste), peaches, apricots, berries, etc. try mix as many variants rather than repeat fruits, or whatever takes your fancy....

Beetroot is very healthy as well, but overpowers the taste of a "fruit juice", so I just keep it in a separate bottle and add as required :D

If you're want something besides water to drink, that is low or no sugar, but don't really care about your health, then why not just opt for low calorie artificial drinks like diet coke? Sure, they will probably give you cancer because of all the artificial sweeteners, colourants and flavourants... but they don't have sugar!

I have 3 glasses of fruit juice a day. Breakfast, lunch and supper. I buy the 100% 4l bottles, Darling or Quali juice. Not sure if 3 glasses a day is ok or bad for me.

If you don't enjoy the taste of water (bottled or tap through the filter) then try carbonated water. Water is very good for you (regardless of mineral content) and you'd find that the amount of concentrated sugar (not added, just concentrate because of the juicing process) in fruit juice is insane. So watch out re: diabetes and getting into a cycle where you NEED the juice to have "energy"
