FTTX becoming the standard

Just really hurts when reading these kinds of articles. :'(

Having to look at stats that actually show how far behind we are is depressing... :(

Problem is we falling further and further behind. My fear is that it gets to the point where we are so outdated that our systems cant integrate into the interwebs anymore and we become totally isolated. Not likely I know, but with the bunch of idiots in power that we have you can never rule the unlikely out.

haha technically as long as coheres the TCP/IP thats unlikely..though what we are seeing is more and more content that requires more than what telkom is offering (think youtube, myadsl etc) and we can run those services but not optimally...sad

So, are there stats like this for SA?
Or do telkodemonopolies and guavamunt refuse to actually show how badly they're doing?

Silence!! You may not criticize, you may not express your opinion, you may not show our shortcomings. We are previously disadvantaged and hence thicker than 2 piles of bricks. Everything is fine and there are no problems in our telecommunications! Our glorious empire is magnificent! You are just rascist!

Sadly, I think you have hit the nail square on the head Peon.

:(

Dear comrades, we have struggled and come a long way since apartheid, and the government has done a wonderful job of telecommunications thus far. We should be satisfied with our current situation, and fully support Telkom in their valiant efforts. The rest of the world is just jealous of our stable adsl and wireless.

This is how an African patriot speaks. Good, I love patrionism, the major reason why Africa is and will remain in the grips and dark spheres of dark Africa forever.
