fuel pump issues

so another small and stupid question from my side;

could using another key in my ignition sort out my car;

I did change battery in my keyfob recently and my car worked and started perfectly fine;
and the one kia mechanic did mention I should see a yellow key symbol and I dont see it ;

could it really be that simple?

Im gonna shoot myself if that is the case.....

Your key contains a transponder (which is NOT battery powered) which is keyed to your car's immobiliser.
If you use a key which isn't coded to your car it will probably not start.

belive it or not my mechanic already called exactly them;

says Im gonna have to take it to the agents;

who gonna rip me a new hole to breath out of;

that is unless using the other key will fix this;
