Hi guys am in CPT and need to source 512 mb ddr 333 for a Fujitsu LifeBook S7010D

According to google it has 2 dimm slots one of which is used by a 512mb ddr333 module. Now my question is where can I source another 512mb of ddr333 or can this lappie support ram at higher speeds - somehow I doubt it - would a 512mb ddr400 module run at 333 speed and still give benefit of running in dual?

Thanks
J

* Memory - 512 MB DDR333 installed - 2 DIMM

DDR400 will underclock itself to DDR333 speed and it should still run in dual channel (if supported by the laptop) :)

Memories are spec'ed at a maximum speed at which they will run reliably, which implies they will run slower speeds if clocked that way by the CPU/motherboard support curcuitry. It's much like a fancy BMW rated at 250 km/h, you can ride it at a more sedate pace, although many said owners wouldn't dream otherwise ;)

Kinda guessed all that, altho I had to confirm - who sells dimms for laptops in CPT? Southern Suburbs if possibly.

Thanks
J
