Right, considering I, too, was once a mindless peon, I originally ran Windows XP on my machine
. However, now I want to do a full conversion over to Linux (either Gentoo or Kubuntu - not sure yet), however I have 800GB of data sitting on NTFS partitions
. Now I could just install Linux with NTFS rw support, but it kinda defeats the purpose of a full conversion. I would like to run xfs or, god forbid, ext3. Also I have had 3 hours sleep (thank you, Linux From Scratch), so I could be rambling on about pointless crap.
Basically I am wondering whether to dual boot Linux and a hacked-down version of XP to use just to run my games for when I go to a LAN. Meh, I just don't know how to fix this and retain all my data
sad face.
