CORE OUTPUTS
- Analysis of change request recieved. – Provide recommendations and costs / man-day estimates for implementing change. – Design prototypes for change requests. – Design web-interfaces if applicable. – Maintain existing programmes according to change requests. – Produce appropriate software programmes that satisfy the specifications. – Test own programmes / artifacts to ensure correctness. – Test interfaces to other systems. – Debugging of programmes. – Provide test information to Testers. – Implement changes into Production environment. – Update of data model documentation. – Problem solving, root cause analysis and user assistance. – Technical support. – Provide hands-on training for own system. – Provide support / standby (if and when required). – Correct errors / bugs in production.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12
An appropriate IT qualification
Minimum 4 year experience within application development
Experience in working with the following : JAVA , Websphere RAD, ASP, JavaScript, VB Script, C#, .NET Framework, MS SQL Server, XML, WIN Server 2000/2003, IIS 5 & 6, SQL Reporting
Understanding the workings of Networks and Infrastructure
