Hey guys i just have a question if i leave my 384 connection to download 24/7 30days and i get 90GIGs which is highly unlikely will i still be shaped into the ground??? what are the thresholds for downloading on uncapped seeing that its suppose to be uncapped???

At most ill most probably do 30gigs a month???

i heard 384 guys getting 60gb a month on shaped, u need have good congestion ratio etc, to get full speed.

It all depends on the top 20% issue. I was on Afrihost 384 uncapped, and did approximately 50 gigs a month. Only once was i shaped during the month. I assume i was in the top 20% for the 10 day period. If its going to be a gig per day over the month, you should be fine. If you leave it on 24/7, you most probably will be shaped into the ground. Openweb, seems to be a lot more lenient, depending on what option you are on. Can't speak about MWEB.

Mweb recently released more information regarding their FUP, which basically states that they don't mind how much you download, but rather HOW you download it. You will get your account suspended if you try to evade their shaping policies: eg. downloading via a VPN service.

Mweb doesn't have the 20% top users shaping policy like IS uncapped accounts.

I'm usually getting anything from 15-30GB on Mweb uncapped without trying to download 24/7.
The times that I didn't get the full 40kB/s on my Mweb account, my friend also experienced the same slow speeds on his Mweb 384kbps account.
