Right so does the BIG PICTURE support a short at supply, or do you think you will get better success trading long?
Where is long term momentum pointing to?
Where is price coming from in the long term? Supply or Demand?
What stands in your way?
So In terms of PS's analysis...
Yes you were correct we were hitting off Supply But what was the bigger picture saying... I waited a while so that I could let the benefit of Hindsight play out...
I have also done this analysis right before Janet Yellen is set to speak and see if these lines or levels hold true...?
SO... lets look at the BIG PICTURE ...
Monthly chart showing us trading into Demand... we now need to zoom in and start inserting some lines (REMEMBER if price closes beyond a line then it will surely continue to do so...)
The Weekly above offers a wonderful example of MOMENTUM (3 Candles Grouped Closing over a Breakout Point... "Higher High" becoming a "NEW Higher High")
We draw a line from the origin of that Momentum Candles Breakout and this creates a line for us to test in the future.... If price stays above or below this line then price may continue to stay above or below that line...
Above you can SEE that we are following MOMENTUM will prove useful going forward... Price fails to close below our lines... which means...? its going lower...? ummm... no.... It's going higher...
We can see that PS's Intuition was SPOT on with regard to supply being in play on the H4... BUT we needed to ask ourselves... what is this supply trading into? what stands in its way... The daily above shows us CLEARLY where MOMENTUM is heading...
We can see another group on MOMENTUM Candles providing Demand at the origin of their breakout... This is our new line (solid Grey Line)...
We are trading into serious SUPPLY... (as noted by PS) but if we break this supply... the best way to trade this would be to wait for the pullback and enter on the pullback via the WICK or the Illusory Candle...
The below is a Idea of what entering on a wick after a breakout looks like...
This is the BEST way to trade... minimizes risk and maximizes return as you can pack in a really tight stop and trail that stop along the lows (but more of that later)
