As I said above, which I was editing whilst you answered - read anything and everything that you can and make up your own mind. You have to break away from one person's POV.
The biggest problem with American politics is that you will either be reading a Republican or a Democratic POV, and they will never agree as long as there is salt in the ocean.
Recommend me a counter-balance for him!
is an American Pulitzer Prize–winning syndicated columnist, political commentator, and physician. His weekly column appears in The Washington Post and is syndicated to more than 275 newspapers and media outlets.[1] He is a contributing editor to the Weekly Standard and The New Republic. He is also a weekly panelist on the PBS news program Inside Washington[2] and a nightly panelist on Fox News's Special Report with Bret Baier.
In 2009, Politico columnist Ben Smith wrote that Krauthammer had "emerged in the Age of Obama as a central conservative voice," a "kind of leader of the opposition...a coherent, sophisticated and implacable critic of the new president." The New York Times columnist David Brooks says that today "he's the most important conservative columnist."[12] On July 29, 2011, former congressman and MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said that Krauthammer "is, without a doubt the most powerful force in American conservatism. He has [been] for two, three, four years."
C'mon Fazda, you've just been urging people to read as many POV's as possible (even those they might not agree with) and then make up their own minds, now you want to write this one off as being too right winged for your liking or something. Sounds a bit hypocritical if you ask meYes, sure...point copacetic to a nightly panelist for FOX News....one way to get a totally skewed load of rubbish from a right winger....OK, I guess it will give you one POV. Certainly one that I would ignore.
Please note...

Edit. Just checked, the dude is also a columnist for the Washington Post. Should we write off all WP commentators as well?

I guess I couldn't have expected anything else from Alan, our local FOX fanboi.
As for Gaddafi... not a good way to go at all but i cant say i blame them, its also very difficult for me to have any sympathy for the brother leader considering his own deeds which included ordering rape and murder, not to mention the women who have come forward claiming he personally raped them. He got his in the end.
Delusional as well
Fazda, I'm still curious about whether my understanding of your impression of Greenwald's political position was correct?
Attention /\![]()
I am not going to dig my heels in on this one, as I haven't had time to look at his stuff.
I'm hardly touching sides at work at the moment, so really cannot comment further.
I see you manged to attract my attention with this post!![]()

Do you see the irony and hypocrisy here? you immediately dismissed the piece copa linked to and implied that it was biased nonsense, all without even reading it! then you encourage copa to broaden his perspective to include things he may not even agree with and then you proceed to shoot down the first thing Alan posts as nonsense, again without even reading it or anything else by the author, and you are a history teacher?
Scary.
OK, so now I'm an ironical, hypocritical troll in your eyes. Great
Seeing as you and Alan seem to both sing from the same hymn sheet, I will continue to treat whatever you post with a pinch of salt - let's leave it at that.
@copacetic - I have just spent the last hour reading everything I can about Glenn Greenwald, and I apologise for thinking that he was a Republican. He is neither Republican nor Democrat, which I find refreshing. I will follow whatever else he writes with interest.
Moammar Gadhafi’s killer will face prosecution, declared the National Transitional council, Libya’s interim government, on Thursday.
Global PostThough earlier the NTC had maintained that the former dictator had been killed during crossfire when rebels liberated Sirte, NTC officials have said that they will prosecute the person found responsible for Gadhafi’s death, reports the Guardian.
“With regards to Gadhafi, we do not wait for anybody to tell us,” said Abdel Hafiz Ghoga, the deputy chief of the National Transitional Council, to the al-Arabiya satellite channel, according to the Guardian.
“We had already launched an investigation. we have issued a code of ethics in handling of prisoners of war. I am sure that was an individual act and not an act of revolutionaries or the national army. Whoever is responsible for that [Gaddafi's killing] will be judged and given a fair trial.”
The Guardian reports that the investigation may prove to be unwelcome in Misrata, which is where the rebels who captured Gadhafi in Sirte are based.
