Galaxy note 2 - cases, covers, screen protectors

You need to do some research, it's absolutely possible to scratch modern smartphone screens, sand being the biggest culprit. Even from daily use you create micro scratches, take a close look at your phone in strong sunlight and then tell us that you don't have any scratches. If you don't then you must be one of the most amazingly careful people ever.

I found the video from xda that explains: http://www.xda-developers.com/xda-tv-2/truth-about-gorilla-glass-drops-tests-composition-xda-developer-tv/

I have.
Not had issues. Bad luck if you have.

Can anyone confirm if the backcover of the flipcover is more matt than the glossy original back cover? Seemed that way in one of the reviews but haven't heard anyone mention it (non of the stores in my town has any I can inspect).

Secondly, everyone seems to really like them but isn't the flip cover in the way when you want to type or take photos? Would really like some kind of protection for the phone but not sure what would be the best way to go.

Flip cover is more matt.
I don't like it for everyday use though. I prefer the battery case.

Don't like many of the back covers but this one caught my eye:

Like the ROCK design but doesn't seem like anyone in SA supplies them. How does it normally work if you order from eg. UK? What would all the extra costs be to import?

I have imported covers for each of my devices from eBay and customs duties have been of no significance. Most times the stuff comes straight through without any extra fees.

Sounds good, how long does it normally take to arrive?

Depends on the shipping method chosen.
Some of the sellers offer free worldwide shipping and this will come via the post office. That can range from 2 to 6 weeks. Normally 2 to 4 though.
If you use a courier option, it can be as little as 5 working days, but expect to pay for this.

If going post office route, ask the seller if you can pay a little more to at least get a tracking number. It helps if the delivery takes a bit long. If no tracking number, hope you are patient :p

Clearly that will then not be an option for me...poor Bfore guys:erm:

Will just have to be super protective of the new baby and check out the stores when I get to the other side of our mountains again
