Galaxy Note 8

I have had this phone for a while now and i didnt realise the cover was in the instruction booklet box.
Haha! Nice little surprise for you! :D

Just be careful, it's not very protective, if the phone lands face first or on its bottom there is a good chance of the screen cracking. It's more of a case that will protect the phone from scratches in day to day usage.

Agreed Tsepz, the same with the Note 9. Also came with a clear cover, but I saw that it offers no protection to the screen. Best is to buy a proper cover if you want to have your phone properly protected.

Hahaha ah some of us like to live on the wild side!

Side note, anyone looking to buy the Note9 can get a 512GB memory card and R500 discount voucher at Samsung store Clearwater. Sms says T&C apply

Did you manage to get the SD Tsepz?
I don't have a Note9, but my friend who does went to Cresta to get the SD and Headphones but it turns out the people who setup the marquee there prematurely brought it down, so she went on a rant to Samsung on social media and posted pictures, so last I heard they are escalating what happened. Waiting to hear if she gets her stuff

Late last year when I got the Note8 at launch I went straight to Sandton, to get the free DeX Station and BT keyboard. I never go to any other mall and I told her rather go to Sandton, now she's going through this whole rigmarole

Can anyone help me with a screenshot of the Software version page of a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that has Cell C WIFI calling working.

I am trying to flash the right firmware on my Samsung Note 8(SM-N950F) to get Wi-Fi calling working.

Thank you.

Look for XFA firmware on Sammobile.

Been using the Mate 20 Pro most of this week, but man oh man, it's nice to boot up the Note8, still something soooo damn right about a Galaxy Note device . The SPen is definitely bing missed.

The wide nature of the Galaxy Note8 and Note9 displays definitely makes them feel easier to use to write longer emails and texts with and the SPen is missed for its accuracy when editing and capturing content to copy and paste.

Alos must say I prefer the more rectangular shape of the Notes vs all these more rounded devices.

Looks like the MTN phones are never going to get the update. :)

Oh well.

Back to the Note 8...I'm not very impressed with the battery life...I don't really have any apps that are using battery life in the background, but still uses a lot of battery life. It's not horrible, but I don't use it that intensively, so expected a bit more from it I guess. Note 4 had much better battery life.

Vodacom update...

With XFA you can still use Cell C's firmware. I think cell c's Wi-Fi calling and Samsung Pay should work with no issue on it if u using cell c

Can you please explain how does cell c wifi calling works? I get the icon when there are no funds on the sim, but it doesnt seem to do anything

Been abusing the beta for past 24 hours. Feels like a new device. Very stable and no glitches so far.
