Galaxy Note 8

For all who got your Note8 via Vodacom, are you happy with your contract bundles?

My Vodacom contract is coming up for renewal so I can upgrade my handset to the Note8 in a few days, but I am seriously considering to jump ship to Cell C and rather getting the Note8 that route. But still undecided. Any thoughts are welcome :)

Currently a Note5 user.

One can never be happy with Vodacom or MTN packages but I needed a secondary line anyway so I took the plunge. I say wait to see Cell Cs packages first and make your decision then.

Cool, thanks for the thoughts.

Cell C have confirmed with me that the Note8 will be R999 per month on their Pinnacle 250 contract (250 voice minutes, 2.25 GB data per month, 1000 minutes wifi calling). They have pre-approved me, so now I'm waiting to see when their phones arrive (apparently they will start delivering from this Friday only).

There used to be a way, i used it a few times on my Note 4 with the old S Notes that was on there and it worked OK. Then after a few ROMS and several S Note versions i stopped using it on Windows, my notes became too disorganized on my phone to bother. But maybe have a look, it might still work. When i get the Note 8 one day, will start from scratch and be better organized :)

Ooh geez! I am paying R850pm with Vodacom
 
This phone is easy to use one handed, quite comfy in the hand actually.

Lol, it is quite a heavy thing though coming from S7 Edge.
 
[Update] Samsung finally lets us disable the Bixby button

Samsung is finally allowing us to disable the Bixby button, to an extent. The latest Bixby updates add a new toggle which lets you decide whether or not Bixby Home should be launched when the dedicated button is pressed. This can also be configured from the Bixby settings menu.

You’ll see this toggle at the very top of Bixby Home once you install the update. You can tap on the gear icon to hide the toggle should you so desire. It’s just a matter of tapping on a toggle now and that makes me happy.

To be clear, Bixby Home isn’t going anywhere. You can still access it by swiping left from the home screen. The Bixby button will also work for summoning Bixby Voice. Just press and hold like you already do.

Lol I ask because I won't be working here in 2 weeks time will be interesting to come and get my delivery.

Anyways I set it to be called before delivery, so I'll just give them my new work's address.
 
I do like the fact that I can unlock my device just by touching the fingerprint scanner while the screen is off. Also I don't know why most people are complaining about the placement of the fingerprint scanner. I have no trouble reaching it with my index finger.

ATTENTION ALL!

I see the express shipping for this protector is quite pricey, so i was thinking lets do a group buy and split the single shipping cost? i drive around jhb and pta almost everyday so i can even deliver yours in business hours for you, and yes drifter i visit my parents in the vaal too so you can also get in on the action.

oh and ive seen removal videos, they remove with no issues so you dont need to stress about that
