Stupid question: Is Google Assistant still available as standalone installation ... I see it is part of Allo?

Just remember.
Allo , Google Assistant is not voice
enabled.
I use Google Assistant in Allo to
bring me World Headlines, Quote of the day Weather etc at a certain given time.
Allo, Google Assistant only responds to
typing commands.
If you want Google Assistant (voice)
you only need to change your country
language to US English in phone settings.
Open your normal Google app and it should ask you to configure Google Assistant. You also have to "train" OK Google " in settings that it can recognize your voice.
 
I must admit I'm truly amazed by the Note8 battery life considering it's 3300mAh compared to the S7edge 3700mAh.

I've been giving the battery a hard beating the past week, but it just lasts and lasts...
 
I've decided to remaped the Bixby button on my Note8. It's much more useful now. I now have three actions: Short press, Double press and Long press. Each performing its own action.
