My battery seems to have gone it's doing some strange things and its a bit bulged. Does anyone know where I can buy a new one from? I have tried quite a few cellular stores.
 
Same happened to me. My battery was so blown up I couldn't even fit the cover. Eventually bought one from one of the local paki cellphone shops for R220. They assured me that it is legit and gave me a three month warranty and it's still going strong.

TRY this website dx.com . Bought a battery for my Samsung Gio there and lasts twice as long as the samsung battery. Paid about R90 for a "2400 mah"
Delivery is free but takes about a month to get delivered.

search samsung s2 battery there are a whole lot plus there are reviews.

Think samsung has a problem with their batteries as the guy from the Mtn shop said he had quite a few people reporting the bubbling battery issue.:D:D

Note that my typical delivery time from dx.com, and I've ordered from them a couple of times, is generally about 6 weeks unless your parcel gets lost.
 
I should point out, if you have anything non-urgent, they are great. If your package gets lost, they will resend it for free. It seems that SAPO is the problem, not them.
 
Get the extended battery from kalahari. Nobody I know has been unhappy with theirs, its also an OEM product

It's still displayed on their site however and doesn't tell you it's out of stock. Thanks for wasting a week of my time Kalahari!
 
According to Samsung store in CW, no new S2 extended batteries are being manufactured by Samsung for a while now. Also they won't be imported to SA officially anymore.
