Galaxy S4

my sister gets about 30-35 hours on her Note 2 but she's with MTN so she is mostly on EDGE. She also closes all her apps so they don't use her data since she is only getting 300MB per month. Joke is on her since she can barely use the phone because if she does, she won't have data left. i'm going with CellC. 1GB is still not enough but it is tolerable since their data bundles aren't that expensive either

I always keep my devices on Edge anyway to save battery. H+ is overkill for email and whatsapp.
At home I use wifi hooked up to uncapped ADSL so none of my data bundle gets used at home.
I never really exceed 200MB on my cell and I don't shut down anything.
Unless you are actually downloading stuff, or addicted to facebook, you shouldn't use much.

Just put my S4 on charge now, it was at 24% been playing with it all day, lol. By the way, how unbelievably quick is the charging??? It's all thanks to the 2.0A charger, it took it just over an hour yesterday to go from 2% to 93%, I was simply blown away :o

Lord Nikon

Congrats and welcome to this awesome club :D
The GS3 is the daddy of Motion control, lol, although it did not have Air View, Eye Scrolling/Smart Scroll and Hand Gestures, it did have Smart Rotate (detects position of face when phone is rotated), Smart Stay (detects whether eyes are closed or not) etc...

Yeah, Htc's presence isn't strong here. I was once very close to getting a Sensation XE (upgrading from the awful Xperia X10) but Htc were very quiet, their FB Page was pretty much dead with only one guy running it and giving vague information, I eventually decided to upgrade to the GS2 and I've been a Samsung fan since. Htc seem to be trying to come, back though, but their lack of marketing and customer support really isn't helping.

Thank you sir :)

I had the Samsung Galaxy S before the Samsung hype really picked up in SA. Everyone was going on about the Xperia back then, and of course, those ridiculous blackberries.

I heard of the GS3 motion detection, but I entertained myself for at least 10 minutes today by just watchin a video, and looking away, and back, to see it pause and resume. I just put mine on charge now, so will see how it goes. Can't wait for the wireless charging accessories though.

HTC seems to be trying yes, but not hard enough I reckon. The guy here on MyBB that answered the questions seems to have left, about after they said the phone will only be arriving in May. The facebook page doesn't answer many questions, it just keeps pointing out features of the HTC one. I got the missus a Desire S about a year and a half back, decent phone, but we couldn't even get a cover for it, and of course, no Android upgrades after 2.3.

I honestly hope they can be more active in the SA market, because the One seems to be a brilliant device. and choice is always good. If you meet someone in a meeting these days, you know he either has A Samsung Galaxy device, or an Iphone. Hopefully that might change soon with other players entering our market.
