Galaxy Tab 2 7inch or kindle?

My father in law is in hospital for a few weeks, we where thinking of getting him a kindle to read book etc.

Takeolot has Galaxy tab 2 7inch wifi only for R1699 incl delivery, which would be better option to get?

galaxy tab is better , you can do more then just read books on it

If you are reading for long periods the definitely the Kindle

Reading for extended periods on a backlit LCD screen gives you serious eye strain, whereas the e-ink screen on the Kindle is a lot easier on the eyes, you can read all day, no problem.

Also battery life is much better on the Kindle.
