I don't want a locked down OS that's limited by some company's BS restrictions. Bada isn't open in the way that Android is. You can only get apps that are approved by Samsung, if it's not in Samsung Apps you can't have it. Apps don't have nearly as much freedom, VOIP is not possible among other things.
Just like Apple but apps can have even less features.

I don't want to deal with that crap so I'm sticking to Android until something better comes along. Maybe Meego or WebOS will be next for me.

I know this doesn't matter to some people, the kind of people that would consider an iPhone, but it's important to me.

with respect, but even a single LED falsh is better than no flash at all? let alone new phones with dual LED and xenon. the fact that the SGS doesnt have a flash should not make it less of a phone cos it is the best phone in the world, currently, but realistically, it wont take decent pics in the dark.

This does not hold true in all cases. Sometimes a flash could do more harm than good due to shadows etc. created by flash.... so no SGS prob. better off without flash judging from good quality low light picture I have seen of the SGS.

Bada seems to be doing well, but it does not have remotely close the market share (and therefor support) as Android which at this stage must push the Galaxy S above the Wave. (even though Wave is good phone)

Bro thats like asking what is better, the 125i or the 135i.

Obviously they will both do the same job, and be pretty decent at it, but if you have the cash you'll get the 135i

same with the phones, if you have the cash you will get the Galaxy
