I am just guessing, because all IS accounts have a star rating, even though the Openweb CEO says their's doesn't. But if I take your explanation, add in star ratings, I dunno. 1+1=2 ?

I agree with you, Plugg, WebAfrica and Buzybuy (these are just the ones I have been with) all have the star rating and all are IS or IS reseller accounts.

I remember a while ago you you posted on a thread (too lazy to go and search for it LOL) your experience being on OW and compared them against other IS resellers and found the same trend across all accounts.
What happened to the final conclusion, or did I miss that post?

Didn't make a final conclusion, kinda felt meh about it, as they are all mostly the same, performance is based on your star, but not all accounts have stars dropping equally fast. Business type accounts they fell really slow, you would be unlucky to go below 3 stars if even getting there. Cheapest home accounts fell really fast, more expensive home accounts fell faster than business accounts, but not as fast as the cheapest accounts. But all home accounts, once you on 1 star, was pretty useless during business hours.

With IS based accounts, even on 1 star permanently, you can do 1+ TB per month easy on a 10Mbit/sec line.

Oh, imagine a 1 star 10Mbit/sec account, is the same as the original IS Express uncapped 384k uncapped accounts, except you pay maybe a bit more now, instead of R899 you pay R1299 @plugg for example.

Some feed back

Very disappointed at the moment - current usage is 90GB and my star rating is gone down to 1....before signing up I asked the sales consultant if 1TB a month will be fine with an average of 10GB -15GB a day.....she told me it wouldn't be a problem...

Current daily usage works out to about 5.3GB

Did not get a reply after sending them a FB message(10:27am) and emailing (14:00).
Decided to call (15:00)
Their support centre is completely useless and the guy I spoke to (cannot remember his name) had a don't care attitude
Anyway got hold of the owner (Sean) - he seems like the only guy willing to help and understands what I'm talking about.
He offered me a solution for now

Thanks for the help Sean.

I hope you can get your company sorted out before it's too late

I think TI would be your best bet for your usage pattern. No concurrent connections AFAIK tho.

Don't understand your maths with that 1TB averaging 10-15GB per day comment.

15GB x 30 days = 450GB

Keep your traffic to an absolute minimum between 8am-5pm, streaming (not constantly) and stuff 5pm-12am, downloads 12am-6am (this applies to weekends too). The lowest I saw with that pattern was 3 stars, although I don't share my account.

Only time I saw 1 star was 2 weekends of solid downloading.
