Ok wait, I'm confused now.

I just gave this a thought.

MC bought his cards from his supplier and could offer them for R 220.00 and make a profit. Now with all this going around it seems like RPG-bay was his supplier There was some payment problem lets say his credit card payments was reversed by who ever and what ever.

That still means that RPG-bay can sell the cards for R 220.00 to us or am I missing something ?

I mean if MC was legit he would not pay R 300 for a gamecard and sell it to us for R 220.00. I would like to know what price he paid for them on RPG-bay

yeah, those discrepancies confuse me too, hence my request for the full story, but as you might have guessed, we got no full story from either MC or Rapts.

it could go both ways though. either MC was sold these GTC's at a loss since the buyer bought them with somebody else's credit card anyway, so even R100 would be cold, hard cash profit. semi-money laundering (turning stolen credit into cash). or when buying in bulk you get a massive discount, etc etc. lots of speculation possible here, but then we have this: (post from 2004)

3-month subscription costs 11.99€/£8.39 per month ~R135.00
and six month subscription costs 10.99€/£7.69 per month ~R123.75

Rand : Euro = R11.26 : 1Euro (2008/08/04)
So even on 6 month deals, the R220 looked good

In 2004 the Rand was about R8.50 to the Euro, now it is about R11.50

Roughly 35% drop in Rand value.

ahhh, fair enough and makes sense just found it interesting... this hobby is expensive

funny how that magic number of R220 got repeated. perhaps Kaiser/MC did his research before selling

I wouldn't trust a word coming from that guy to be honest. He obviously got caught with his hand in the cookie jar, and no amount of explaining would suffice. And I wouldn't compare old prices to today's prices either. They are what they are. There was no way on God's green earth you could sell GTC for R200. Not even Blizzard sells them for that price to retailers.

One thing is for sure though, I have dealt with RPG-Bay before, service was swift and reliable. They have business savvy and go about their business in the correct manner, protecting and value their customers privacy.
