Game Delivery Times

I want to get 3 Eclipse bikes for the young ones (boys).

2 x 20" (R999) and 1 x 24" (R1399), deal ends today.

But our local game has no stock (for boys).

Thinking of ordering online then, but not sure if their delivery service is still as horrible, plus Christmas is just around the corner?

Anyone with recent experience.

Any other affordable solutions online?

Only experience I had with them was in December 2018. Experience was bang average. No communication on when item would be delivered, so conveniently when I’m away that’s when the item arrived. Game delivery isn’t the best.
 
My only online purchase from Game sucked.

I ordered, waited more than a week until delivery was due, and nothing arrived. I called them, only to find out that they didn't have stock of the item. They didn't bother to tell me that when I ordered or at any time until I called.

A while back Game used to source certain items from other branches. We purchased a microwave which was on special but the branch didn't have stock, so the guy went onto the computer did some stuff. They called us a couple days later to collect the microwave.

I can't remember if we paid for the microwave before hand or on the day of the collection.

I can maybe look at that as well, thanks. Their service is super bad at our branch though.

It was 2 microwave ago roughly 5 to 6 years ago. Based on how much the customer service of that branch went down the toilet I won't be surprised if Game stopped sourcing items from other branches entirely.

Edit: fun fact I'm the reason why the wording of extended guarantees has been changed to what it is now.

I think they do. But to give an example, it took me more than an hour of waiting and 5 staff later, for them to confirm if they have bicycles in stock and what the prices are. They super useless. This is usually a sign of a store dying a slow death.

Game Worker : I'm not sure, that's X's department, I'll see if I can find him for you.

** Game Worker leaves never to be seen again.

** Customer finds another Game worker

*** 2nd game worker asks you to give a description of what the original game worker looks like and then describe what X looks like.

** 2nd game worker leaves to find X
** Another 10 minute pass and nothing

If customer was lucky X will come now, then explain to the customer.

X: Eish you need to speak to Y he's the head of department, I'll go find him for you.

**X leaves.

**At this point 2nd Game Worker will appear out of nowhere

2nd Game Worker : "Have you found X?"

**2nd Game Worker will then complain about the other game staff then leave

10 to 15 minutes later X returns with Y

Y: I'm sorry sir but <insert product name> is not available because <insert reason>

Flippen spot on. This is in fact KZN. You were in the store this morning as well? :laugh:
 
Don't buy online. I made a purchase on black friday weekend. The lead time for delivery was 10 days. When I called on day 9 to follow up they said its 10 working days. The status of the order still hadn't changed from the day I placed the order. I sent them emails and harassed them on twitter to get an update. Suddenly on day 12 the courier was at my gate with no prior warning. He left the box and drove off before I reached the gate and without me signing a thing.
Then I noticed the seal of the carton was broken. Nothing was stolen at least. But I assume that's cos I ordered one item. He couldn't have delivered an empty box surely.
I logged a complaint online the same day but nobody has bothered to call me back.
