Gamemax.org is the pits

tis true Shogun. Last night we did Iron Council hardmode where I have previously dc'd like a madman with 626/semishaped/gamemax, but FNBConnect kept its cool and carried me with a smooth ~480ms, no dc or spikes (combat log turned off). Unfortunately FNBConnect's stability is also a bit random.

/sigh

One day we will all be able to play the game how it was meant to be played.
 
I'm getting the same problems now.

Worse in 25mans on boss fights, but I DC when even just fighting mobs in 10mans.

When doing my dailies I also noticed huge latency spikes.
 
I tried FNBConnect before it was released to the public. It's not bad but I went back to using my Unshaped Imaginet account. It's rock solid for raiding.
The only time I ever have issues is if my line is acting up.
 
we have some in our guild who are playing from South Africa and I have to say, that recently I have noticed they are having more issues. Not just latency. They seem to get dc'd more than before.

I used imaginet before I came to the UK. Very reliable. I MT'd Karazhan, Gruul's and the other T4 dungeons before moving to UK. No problems. Before that I was with Axxess(or whatever) and they where rubbish.
 
So while I was leveling my druid now in dragonblight, I started doing the Wanted group quests. We get to the part where you kill that dragon.

My latency while running gamemax was 260ms.

As soon as we engaged the boss, I lag out and DC. It's not my line that's the problem, it's gamemax. So glad I cancelled my subscription with them.
 
I can raid 25 man raids no problem. Some guildies that are from SA however cannot completely (25 mans), others just randomly DC.

I have also seen some European guildies sometimes DC as well when SA guildies DC

So tell me then why has my DC'S drop to about 5 a month but whit gamemax it was every boss fight ?

That would be up to you to figure out, all we are saying is that we don't have problems and we use it daily, looking at it logically if it was gamemax then every person using it would have issues and not only a few.
 
so you dont have any problem that means the service is 100% stable and error free ? And any fault should be a error on my side cos you dont have any problems that means no one should? Thanks 4 clearing that up I'll re-format and re-install when I get home and try again. Hold thumbs for me please

The comments said SA cannot do 25 man raids due to DC, I commented on that post.

No, gamemax is not perfect and 100% stable, but neither are the other 24 players in my 25 man raid. The players in Uk complain as well, so no, it is NOT only an SA problem. Read the post above, hedid not mention gamemax only, hesaid SA cannot raid!! nab
 
my 4th is the day after your 3rd mister name calling mature man you. I was responding to YOUR post where YOU mentioned gamemax about lag but sure as hell not the lag spikes I had on gamemax where my guild hands out loot on vent but the boss is stil on 5% my side. So hope to hear from you soon and maybe we can have our 3 and 4th birthday partys on the same day

Did ULD 25 last night 375-500ms latecy and no DC's at all.. not using gamemax or any ssl/vpn connection for stabilty, and that was via mikrotik aswell.

i have a solid 425ms ping with MTN 3G in Paarl. a lot more usable than the 3000+ms I used to get around 7 months ago. Too bad 3G is too ****ing expensive

It's ok. It has some routing issues that need to be resolved though. For example I host our Vent with Typefrag.com and I couldn't get to it when using FNBConnect.
They might have resolved that issue by now but I haven't checked.

I use Imaginet and have done so for 3 years now. Zero issues.

Atm FNBConnect is my most reliable connection, 384k with Ventrilo.

Does Imaginet have prepaid unshaped? Couldn't find anything on their website and on average I use ~2gb every 2-3months for WoW. I don't want a monthly subscription when I dont use all the bandwidth
