It's come down to 3 controllers for me. 99% because of price. The rest is down to where I will be using the controller and what you get for the price.

Would love to get some feedback from the community on this and what they would choose if they could only choose between the 3.

So the controllers are:
1. Logitech F710 wireless

2. Speedlink Xeox Wireless pro

3. Thrustmaster F1 wireless

I will mostly be playing Elite: Dangerous with it. I have tried joysticks and have found it lacking. So now I would like to see how a controller holds up in the game.

Throw them all out and get a wired 360 controller.

/thread.

I'd prefer a wireless. But would be open to wired. The problem is that I cannot find any for a reasonable price. The cost of the xbox 360 controller makes zero sense to me. Do you perhaps know where I can get one?

Probably 2. It's ergonomically close to an Xbox controller, and that's about as good as controllers get...

It costs that much because it doesn't break like the cheap crap you're looking at and all PC games support it. Seriously to get anything else is retarded.

The Xbone controller is starting to take over now so maybe look at that:

if you really like the hassle of changing and charging batteries:

Takealot also have a pre-order up for the Elite:

Thank you, I will take a look.

i got the F710 and no complaints here, prefer the way it feels in my hands

Ah cool thanks, I have heard that it's curvature can be problematic though, due to it having a much deeper indent than other controllers, specifically for large hands. Have you had issues with anything along that line?

It would seem like the cheapest one I can find at the moment is R600 for the wireless. I'll think about it.

Just remember that you need the wireless receiver for it to work on PC. So you need one that says "For PC".

All 3 of those controllers are rubbish.

Get a XBox 360 controller.

Pointless going for an XBox one controller now 'cos the idiots havent released a wireless receiver for the controller yet.

Um no.

It comes with a cord in the box. So no hassle of batteries.

Yeah I hate playing with a cord, especially with my setup.

Op wants wireless as well as an added "feature", Microsoft dropped the ball on the XBone receiver for PC.

This is primarily why I want a wireless controller. And the wired Xbox one controller is just too expensive. I would rather spend the money on trackIR then.

I have both a 360 and XBone controller. The XBone feels better but my setup at home makes the XBone controller pointless thanks to the cord.

Microsoft will be releasing a new version of the XBone controller soon where the button do not have that click sound and this will be when they release a receiver for it as well.
