I remember a fair amount of comments about pod surfing or something along those lines :D

I made enough of a name for myself in BF2, sadly only after all the apparent 'gods' left the game. :p

All I ended up getting from BF2 was a lazy pinky from all crouch / prone / run animation cancelling spam to keep dolphin diving while running between flags (also for those 5min knife fights with other people that mastered the movement).
 
Ah, I remember a lot of you guys from the CoD1/2 days, good times all around.
 
Oh man, I recently had some nostalgic flashbacks about playing BF2 on the saix servers. Good times.

I enjoyed squadding with the BFC guys like Killa and Bull. Those really were the golden years of gaming for me. I've never been able to find another game quite like BF2. The rest of the BF titles became far too bloated.

I still played on wireless back then and whenever there was a storm outside I'd have to climb up onto the roof in the rain and fix my antenna to get better ping, so I eventually played more Commander as a camper.

I'm still surprised the admins never banned my ingame name: <WrG> Yomah_Sahara :sneaky:

ooooh another WrG... Been a really long time since I've spoken to rocketboy, I still send him the occasional *fondelz*
And sadly we had to take in lycankid (lyynus). But I remind him from time to time how I used to farm him on the infantry server :D
 
Good old days of the clan wars & bustling forums. We need to find a way to bring this back. Though I'm sure most of us don't get to game anywhere close to those times :ROFL:

That's for sure!

What I miss most are those vintage CS 1.5 servers, especially de_dahshur3, 56K only server. I still remember rocking a 230-250ms ping on dialup and having a blast :D
 
What no JO/Old School Ghost Recon Players?

VC vs Naz(girls) anyone?
/me = DL.Sandman Yes the Original kamakazi pilot reporting in.

I will never forget em Saix vs Prophecy 150 man maps... that was some of the best online battles I ever had.
 
Sandman small world indeed yes, Naz as in Nazgul? Scighost report in.

I still play mostly wow or some cod warzone. Other than that got work & two kids keeping me busy :D

I used to live for GR back in the day. Still have the all the original cd’s. Played in some clan as well, can’t remember which one, but we came second in some tournament at some point.

Desert Seige was my favorite expansion. Pity the last decent GR was wildlands. I remember how we used to hate the counter strike players, all bunny hopping around with no tactics....similar to what COD has become, now that I think about it.
 
Back when games had actual communities. The market weren't flooded with so many good multiplayer options like today so there were only a handful of shooters with active local players. You also played so much against the same people that you knew at least half the enemy team's play style and favorite weapons.

I played with Naz with the nick GodF@ther. Ghost Recon and COD UO were my favs :D
