A friend of mine bought a new PC, and the specs are as follow:

Intel i5 3470
Corsair 4GB, Vengeance DDR3-1600 x2
ASROCK Z77 EXTREME4-M
KFA² GTX660 Ti

The issues he's having are that while running games he is getting a 'stutter' in both graphics and in the sound.
Games are also crashing and freezing now and the drivers will suddenly stop working.

Apart from that, his pc is seriously under performing too. My pc gets 1000 points less and it's an AMD HD7850 and intel Q8200!

So far we have tried to change the power management of the device to 'prefer maximum performance' in Nvidia control centre, but that didn't help at all.

I feel completely responsible for his affliction because I advised him on the PC components :(.

Is there anything else we could do?
Sending in parts is out of the question since he is in Stellenbosch and order from Rebeltech (unless they have a male-in service)

Without other info I would suspect insufficient power to gpu or failing hd.

It's not the PSU, as that's a 600W Cooler Master GX lite. As far as I can see, it meet every requirement, and it powers my greedy-a$$ pc too without a hiccup!

600W is kind of on the low side, so I very much doubt your PC is greedy

Check on the requirements for GPU (Usually on the box somewhere) it will tell you how many Amps on 12v it needs.
Your PSU should at least match that.

Sounds more like driver issues to me... I would download & install the latest drivers for all the hardware

Windows 8?

I would do a fresh install followed by the latest drivers from the chipset manufacturers sites.
