Gaming on wifi hotspot?

Hi guys,
I have an android phone (galaxy s 1) and it has the ability to create a hotspot.
So lets say I put in my vodafone 2gb sim card in my phone and I create a hotspot will I be able to play on xbox live or psn wirelessly.
And how much data would it take up in a hour.
Ps. I get speeds of 1mbps -5mbps on speedtest.

Yes you can, I use my Galaxy S2 all the time with my PS3 and although I can't give you an exact usage amount my usage when playing online is not that much, about the same for me as when browsing the Internet.

I do this fairly often on my Galaxy Note.
I consume just under 50MB an hour playing MW3 on XBox.

Install 3G Watchdog. Will help you to monitor.
