Gasflowed Cylinder head

Branches = +/- R2k
Cam = +/- R2k
Valves = +/- R2k

gains = 20kw's <= that IS NOT DECENT

Im assuming those costs, i have no freegin idea for a Citi golf, but i dont think i can be far off for proper quality parts.

I spent more money in my Polo's engine than I paid for the car when I bought it ;) But that is a full house NA engine - 2.0 Polotec with everything done to it.

I know there is a thread about my polo here somewhere :)

:eek:
Fuel injection or Carb ?
Fuel injection. I'm serious i prefer a car standard even the sound.
I drive the 1.8 everyday, puts a smile on my face :p but lately i feel i need abit more from it.

Ok if you don't want to do much.

Remove the Fuel injection and put some Side drafts/Throttle boddies on it

arent throttle bodies like also in the R5k-R10k price region ?

Or are you talking about a DIY mod again ?

Yes thats an option but someone told me she would sound like a "beast"!! Is that true? She sounds like a well toned gymnast at the moment

It will sound like a beast, but only if pushed. The idling doesn't sound that much different that a normal Carb.

I had a Weber in a Mini.... U want to hear a beast, try talking in a mini with a Weber just about inside the car :D

Nea, they do sound like beasts, but only if you push the car hard. And they chow fuel like no ones business ;)

Nah I always feel the engineers struck the exact balance between power, noise levels and fuel economy. Thats why i love them standard, i also dont add bodykits etc they are sexier the way they where ment to look. I do change mags though :D

Sorry for posting in such a old thread.. I was wondering, all these engine jobs, I assume that most of them were done on Fuel Injection? If you were to take a pencil drill and give your top some lekker holes what do you do to the ECU? It's going to be a wreck if you can't calibrate that ECU..
