What exactly were they supposed to do? From a technical perspective there is fskall one can do about it. Sure they can kill the mining industry but the damage has been done already (Its a long term thing. Like 30y+) so that will only slow it down a bit. That pumping business the article is talking about screams unpractical. I doubt that throwing 5bn at that would even make a dent.how long ago did the mines know about this?.... who is administrating Rand water, my guess is that the administration waited for everything to fall apart before they acted...
