Thanks, straightforward enough.
Where you going from and to? Are you driving there? Parking rates are reduced when you use your card to enter and exit. Will you be using any of the bus feeder routes ?

Make sure your Topup covers parking/bus retirn as you can't topup on the bus.

Each station has a bus service to outlying roads and suburbs. You can catch a gautrain bus to and from stations. You need a gautrain card with some balance on it though as they don't take cash. So when you get back to Midrand you can maybe catch a bus back home?

There are PDF maps on the site somewhere also.

Hmm, let's see, although I've never seen the Gautrain buses near where I lived, or maybe it's me I never look around.

Additional charges for the bus service?

Its cheaper if you catch train and bus within an hour of each other. You will get a discounted rate.

BUS FARES

Note:*You must have a valid Gautrain Gold Card to board a bus. Cash is not accepted on the buses.

Rail User Single Fare: R6

(If you use a bus and a train within one hour of one another)

Non-Rail User Single Fare: R20

(If you use a bus and don’t also use a train within one hour)

When one of our cars have gone for service, my SO has to come from Sunninghill to Bryanston to pick up the sprog, then come to Sandton to pick me up and then back out in Sandton traffic to Randburg.

With the bus, I just catch the one to Bryanston, or to Sunninghill. Saves a lot of time and trouble

Enhancements to the Gautrain service will see users gain access to the rapid-rail link by tapping their local or international bank-issued contactless credit and debit cards at the fare gates

It is our preference that if you wish to share this article with others you should please use the following link:

Think this is a step in the correct direction.

Also a full 4 car train to the airport is good. You pay so much then it is so cramped in there. Hopefully they can complete it on time.
