I am considering getting a 2mb uncapped account from gconnect, mainly because it is very cheap, i don't really care about the wifi.
but normally with such low prices there is a catch like they might throtlle you huge or only allow a small ammount of cap, or something.

S i am asking anyone that has used or is using a gconnect account, what it is like ... please also say what speed you are at.

THANKS.

Uncapped means no cap, surely?

How do the prices compare with other cheap ISPs like Cybersmart, Axxess and @lantic?

Well I bought the 1Mbps uncapped for R99 to see what backbone. Its a normal IS uncapped account that you find at all the isp's like Axxess, Openweb [vanilla], NexusISP. In fact all these ISP just resells the account. So its actually a good deal if you get it cheaper than the other ISP's but if you can't get it cheaper it not always better. Will give the same performance. :o

I am keen to get the 8mb account if I can... is IS worth going with for the extra speed (only R250 a month :O). Also, how long does this promotion last?

I do maybe 60Gb a month - will I be throttled?

and yes i was talking about the fair usage policy, are they fair in terms of that. and anyone with an uncapped account from any ISP will you also please comment about the amount of cap you use, the line you have and your ISP.

Sorry for the necro....changing ISP's again

Anyone still use them?

If so how is it going for you? They seem pretty cheap
