GConnect wtf?

I bought a 27gb pass two weeks ago from them. And it worked flawlessly.
Oh and I paid using the mimoney, never used mobile payments so thought I would try it out....worked like a charm.
 
I am happy for u , this is just my little tale of woe- i bought a SIM card from them - and could not get it activated for three weeks - I am not saying that their data provision is not fantastic- I personally can not judge as the sim card i bought from them, was not activated , for what ever reason, that no one at G Connect could provide. The issue is not how good their service is as far as providing the data to users that has a vodacom sim card- the issue is that they sold me a sim card, as they can only provide 3g data bundles if you have a vodacom contract(which i dont have) and they did not get it activated. No one phoned me back after numerous phonecalls. That is my issue- that i was sold something, that did not work and that their customer service did not call back, not once , not twice, but a few times.
If this post could get some one at G connect to sit up and see that they might have an issue, then my mission was accomplished.

If I were in your position I would be furious too...
 
I had a client who was looking for a short term 3G connection that was affordable. GConnect advertise such low 3G rates I tried to set her up on their. Then I found out there was a hidden charge of R150 per year or month - not sure don't care. She only needed 500MB for three months. Was cheaper to just pay 60c per MB to Virgin and use Edge. Will NEVER recommend GConnect ever again. Hidden costs are equal to lies!
