Well I'm shocked cause I kept on nagging and looks like they actually busy working on it... Does this line stats and mode mean I will most likely get 10Mbps?

I know the mode changed from GDMT to adsl 2+ so I should be able to get 10Mbps...... Just wondering why I'm still stuck on 4Mbps...........

Phone the call centre, ask them to put you on a 10mbps profile.

Hmmm. Not normally an issue to get them to convert it if you are 10mbps capable. Perhaps the backhaul still needs upgrading.

Happened to me too, callcentre also said exchange does not support it. But I got hold of a field techie and he manually upgraded me to 10mb. It's very stable and have not dropped once!

When calling 10210 you need to select "new services" option or "upgrade existing services option".Can't recall which but don't try upgrade through ADSL support.

They did the same with me when I upgraded. I wanted 10mb and they gave me 4mb(Exchange can support 10mb)

After complaining and complaining a week later I was on 10mb :)

Also have to mention that if I change my modulation from gdmt to ADSL2+ I can't connect at all.

I have tried everything to get my line up to 10mb/s switched over to afrihost in June called up telkom they changed my profile from 4mb/s to 10 mb/s and was getting 4.8-4.9mb/s and got a call later that day from the local exchange saying they could not support my line on 10mb/s but snr and attenuation are within margins, tried everything since then getting my line higher than 3.30-3.32mb/s, I have phoned local exchange guys refuse to help have contacted afrihost and all they say is that 10mb/s is not supported by my exchange, have tried calling telkom, they say it flat out impossible for me to get higher than 3.42mb/s, so i have basically hit a brick wall, but the best off all is that, driving the other past the dslam i noticed that there are moulds being laid for new vdsl boxes, so i phoned up local dslam and they told my that my area is the main priority for the vdsl upgrade but that the fibre optic cable had to be laid under the N1 and that sanral had refused telkom to do so and it has now gone to court, wonder how long that is going to take. anyway any advice for me on the 10mb/s issue? btw my local dslam is on g.dmt
