No it's the processors NOT being able to keep up with the Graphics cards.
:)
NO current consumer level CPU can keep up. You're talking 4.2GHz on The core2 to start seeing differences.

Conclusion

First of all let me sort the facts:

As soon as Core 2 Duo hits the market, it will...

1) be the fastest x86 processor (both single and dual core models)
2) make the Pentium D and all predecessors look like antiques
3) be the clear choice for performance users despite its rather expensive price
4) outperform the complete Athlon 64 family (X2 and FX) in all areas, including gaming, where AMD has traditionally been very strong
consume less energy than other standard desktop processors

5) transform the whole Intel platform from an energy-hungry beast to a reasonable solution that is competitive in terms of performance per Watt

Nobody is disputing that. The test though is with new generation GFX cards.
GF8 is doing better on AMD in one game than INTEL :) Could be driver bug though.
 
i would like to see gaming benchmarks not cpu benchmarks

although the cheapest intel is like 1700 bucks and its faster than than amd 7k cpu :)

All! Yes All! These CPU's are not capable of bringing even the 8800GTS to it's knees. Yes the Intel's score higher in the 3DMarks and what not, but surprisingly enough the AMD does better in Fear. 59fps vs 55!

The price of an X-2 compared is muuuuch lower.

Anyway, like ShockG says (and its no driver bug, thats whats meant to happen!) FX-62 (im guessing) beats out your Intel.

Anyway, why would anyone try to support Intel? :sick: :sick: :sick: :mad:

Your probably just angry because you cant tile your floor (or whatever you wanted to do) after you bought your Core 2 Duo, and its not like that helps your card. Okay ja, im just fihgting for fun now.. but really. AMD ftw.

Quality obviously costs more ... would you pay Tazz money for a Porsche for example ???.

But I think the money for the performance is actually in favour of a X-2, I mean they are really cheap now. Then again, you are right, Core2Duo does destroy the AMD, ill admit it. But X-2 isnt crap, or slow. Its enough for the latest games okay, and at a great price, no need to bash it.

But you still definitely shouldn't be supporting the company (Intel)! Just buy the chip and be quiet about it, keep your old AMD sticker on... You wouldnt run telling everyone if you got engaged to Satan would you?

AMD fanboy here 2 & I don't care what the benchies say :) & should the ATI people be saying "The new AMD"? hehe

SHOCKG: So you have the best home pc in SA? O and since you have a 7950Gx2 and a 8800gts shouldn't you throw one out? :D In that case throw it this way.
 
I'm just wandering that even though it got such a high CPU score, look at the average frame rate 1 and 2, why is the score so high then? & yes i'm aware my pitiful 3500+ barely gets a 1fps :D
