Geforce 9600gt specifications released

The price hasn't been released yet so how are you guys so convinced that this card won't be priced cheaper than Ati's product??
 
Yep I don't understand how the 3850 is better with no pricing on the 9600GT :/
64 stream processors is twice what the 8600GTS had and the bit-width is also doubled.
At no point is this card slower than the 3850, but in some tests its much faster (Lost Planet for example)
3850 is incredible value so it'll be hard for 9600GT to charge a much higher price premium.
 
they reckon 169 dolla's which would be alot cheaper than the 3850

3850 is amazing pricing especially considering 2 3850's in crossfire can run with an ultra
 
These days running with an Ultra is pretty easy. In fact I've been running some 8800GTS cards and they've been whipping the pre overclocked 8800Ultra I've been using. And most certainly faster than a stock 8800 Ultra.

Guesswork..but I'm basing mine mostly on the fact that my 512mb DDR2 8600 costs significantly more than the 256mb DDR3 version, but gets beaten by the DDR3 version..I dont trust them..I hope I'm wrong...

That would be a rippoff. Most articles are suggesting a retail price of $169 which is well under R2000 . Will wait and see what happens when it comes out here, seeing as we always get ripped off when it comes to gfx pricing.
