General insists on Merc

No, that’s in the field. Army base accommodation (lowest level) is spartan but adequate. A metal-frame (hospital-type) bed, a stainless-steel sink (like a kitchen), a toilet, a cupboard and you share shower facilities with the room next door. Not VIP grade (which an Army base has) but lowly private level accommodation. (I’ve stayed in them)

The soft bottoms and coddled bods. of higher ranks and VIP’s have accommodation to suit.

Guess thats why they call them REMFs.
