And this ladies and gentlemen is what a sense of entitlement does to the cadres.

Eskom want bonuses, stop all perks, freeze salary increases for the next decade, then fire half the staff with no severance pay. Then the rest can get their bonus at the end of January, it will show up on their payslips under line item "basic salary".
 
Just heard on the radio that eskom wants R1.something billion for "performance bonuses".
NERSA isn't having any of it...at least for now...
(Just caught the buttend of the report.)

Can't make this shlt up.
 
Ya well, I'm not religious, but I remember from Sunday school that the bible has a warning about what's happening at Eskom..

Shouldn't it just say, we did sweet bugger all for 25 years but take all your money. Now we aren't sorry as we've got backup solutions at home, but hey the voting majority lives in squalor anyway so they won't notice 4 to 8 hours of no power anyway.
 
Stage 2 in the 5th of Jan?

That surely means we will be on stage 6 again when everyone is back from holiday?
