FYI.

I'll let you know the reply.

Have a good weekend, PP!

I sold a plasma screen a few years ago due to image retention and burn in - but I've been informed by someone on the internet that the later Samsung models no longer suffer from this.

Is this true?
Would I be able to run my PC through the screen through the screen with no worries?
If something does burn in - does the warranty cover it?

Thank you

The article talks about break-in, not burn-in. Where does the article say "Later Samsung plasma models no longer suffer from image retention and burn-in? How on earth is your email related at all?

I have no words.

Kindly give me the email address you used so I can clear up your misinterpretation with them.

I hope the new ranges does come out soon! I'll be waiting for it... The guys in the US seem pretty impressed with them.

I called the Samsung shop in Canal Walk - They say new range will be available in July.

Samsung answered me, Postman ... Curious about they say to out problem?

Please try and make proper sentences if we are to talk. I cannot understand what you just said (at least 70% of your sentences are incorrectly constructed, poor spelling/grammar, etc., to be honest).

Your email has absolutely no basis. Samsung never claimed that "later models no longer suffer from image retention and image burn-in".

Anyone else get me?

They started with 'your friend on the internet in correct ...'

Also contained 'no IR on new screens' ....

and 'should burn in happen, it's covered by warranty'

EDIT : I was on a phone! I was just so excited they agreed with you and - being the honourable person I am - thought I'd let you know straight away rather than waiting for a computer ...

They are smoking something. And since when is burn-in covered by warranty?

Yeah I post from a phone a lot too. Maybe you need an iPhone - decent spell checker/auto corrector.

I didn't know the warranty thing either. In fact, I remember it was specifically excluded - but maybe they've changed?

Kindly note the information you received over the internet is correct, with the new models you will not have a
problem and as well i did confirm the warranty will cover the unit by chance you still have problem caused by
burn retention.

I'll never get an iPhone - ever. But thatnks for the recommendtion anyway.

With pleasure.

Break-in and burn-in are heavily related - surely?
So no break-in almost implies no burn-in and vica versa?

The Samsung FAQ that I posted is speaking of break-in, burn-in and IR

The Samsung FAQ that I posted is speaking of break-in, burn-in and IR

Please quote the bit(s) where the FAQ states something like "Later Samsung plasma models no longer suffer from image retention/burn-in".

If you fail to do this, your email had no substance.

And if you are going on about them being related, your email was incorrectly worded.

One thing I can give a 50" is that you never get sick of the size. I love this TV more and more as the days go on :D

If anything it makes you want even more :(

Thats the thing, it doesn't. Thats what is so great about it.

When I bought my 40" LCD I was like OMG wow. . .for about a week....And then I started to wonder if the picture should look so poor. . . Then I wondered why my TV was shrinking. . . Everyday I watched it, it looked smaller and smaller :p

The 50" plasma just blows me away everytime.

What is your viewing distance?

I went to Dions Wired the other day and I must say the pictures nowdays do look better than a few years back.

It almost makes me want to downgrade purely for the natural picture!

So I've come full circle and I'm back to considering the Samsung Series 6 C6200 LED...40" or 46"
Yes, it's expensive, but it's got everything I want (I think). The 50" plasma is just too big (we don't want our TV to be the centre-piece of our whole flat!) and the 42" is nowhere to be found at a good price (ordering will take 4-6 weeks). Furthermore, my wife approves of the aesthetics of the LED, as opposed to the frame of the plasma which she doesn't like.
So what I wanna know is...does anyone on this forum actually own a Series 6 LED/LCD or another brand 100hz LED/LCD? And if they do, how do they experience SD content and also fast-paced sports in a normal, everyday lounge? It's suppose to be able to handle both of these....!?!?!
Thx!!
