Yes, it's expensive, but it's got everything I want (I think). The 50" plasma is just too big (we don't want our TV to be the centre-piece of our whole flat!) and the 42" is nowhere to be found at a good price (ordering will take 4-6 weeks). Furthermore, my wife approves of the aesthetics of the LED, as opposed to the frame of the plasma which she doesn't like.
So what I wanna know is...does anyone on this forum actually own a Series 6 LED/LCD or another brand 100hz LED/LCD? And if they do, how do they experience SD content and also fast-paced sports in a normal, everyday lounge? It's suppose to be able to handle both of these....!?!?!

Game, Makro and Hifi-corp have the 42" in LG and Sammy, sure one of them must have stock.
I was also looking at LED's but prices put me off (too small of a difference when compared to LCD and too big of price difference).
Series 6 46" were like 15-20k.
But see Hifi corp now has the 6900 for 13k (46").
But then i rather have the 50" plasma at a far cheaper price (i am 90% sure of buying this).

Also check Dion wired's special, LG 55" 3D LED 200Hz + 3D blu ray playa and 3D started pack for 20k. Who cares if its 3D, thats still a pretty sweet deal.
My heart wants that cos of the special - my brain says plasma.

The C430 seems to be in stock everywhere, but not the C450

I was also looking at LED's but prices put me off (too small of a difference when compared to LCD and too big of price difference).

Series 6 C6200 46" is now c. R15k

But see Hifi corp now has the 6900 for 13k (46").

Saw that as well, though not a big fan of Hi-Fi Corp... Might be an option though. As I understand, the C6900 is the C6200 with internetTV extra... (?)

The price is very good yeah...makes the decision really hard!!

Sounds like a really good deal, but 50" and up is just too big for our flat

Think they the same, search this thread, the question has been asked. Guys says its only the red stripe at the bottom. There was something else when i searched somewhere, and found it to be on no importance.

Internet TV - i dont see any value in that - do you have to use yr remote as keyboard.
DLNA is cool though.

The c450 has an extra HDMI slot as well.

Good question; that's why I said 40 or 46. It funny, every time we've gone to look at TVs in the shops, the 46 has looked "not too big, not too small, just right". The 50" always seemed really big, while the 46" somehow looks like the sweet spot. Can't explain it logically...4 inches... but has just seemed that way...

Well 42" is a relatively big increase from 40", so perhaps you have a point.

I just don't agree that a 46" will be any less obtrusive/as a center piece than a 50" in a flat. Both are huge.
 
And the USB can play movies and there is better anti glare coating. So ya 1000 more for a extra hdmi and USB media player and better Anti glare coating
