The thing is , if he is prepared to spend R6500 on your proposed unit then he may aswell spend the R7500 on more than twice as beefy unit I proposed earlier. Definitely all depends on his budget but there is a ton of good options in the R10k range.

Also if you don't need that much beef you can go for the single battery 1200va inverter at about R4700 , id still rather fork out the additional funds for the 2400va 2x105ah deepcycle batteries though.

I went ahead and bought the 2000Va inverter unti from Ellies three years ago. It keeps my computer, scanner and printer going for about 8 hours.
It was R4500 three years ago.. I see now it is going for R8,500.

Sheesh, talk about price gouging!
