I remember we had a whole thread about this based on the UK police visiting a person who wrote inflammatory stuff against a transgender person - many posters here called it thought-policing.

I wonder if it applies if it is someone they disagree with?

And there were many people who also thought that it is noble and just for police to place you on a watch list for tweeting about transgingers.
