To be honest, we're I to throw a brick thru a shop window to be able to help myself, the brick would go through the Omega shop window, not the Timex window

And for sure, I would leave my wife at home, or we would be bricking all day :)

Trying to find a better source (its all over Reddit), but minority communities are defending their businesses. Apparently Roof Koreans have also returned to LA.

Armed Sikhs stand in front of their store.

Yep. All over my FB.

White friends posting BLM and ''This has to stop''. On one of their posts someone posted ''And what about Collins Khosa?''

''Who is that?'' was the response from woke white boy.

To quote the article,

If we could bring all the anger that we feel about the situation in the US home we would have a real chance of being able to start to reform policing at home. And reform is urgently needed. It is, literally, a matter of life and death.

This guy seems to have his priorities aligned,

Continued,

We're so fortunate by the graces afforded to the white community that there weren't justifiable mass riots. The respect, praise and humility we as white people owe to the patient generosity of people of colour in South Africa incalculable.

Instead we nitpick, point fingers, ridicule and devalue the very people who have forgiven, and continue to forgive us, after the literal horror of Apartheid. Read up your history, let's never forget it, let's uplift and love those we held down.

its a start, a very slow one given the institutional violence south africans have been subjected to for the last half a century or so.

the fact that the killing of an americian whips up more frenzy locally than the killing of our own, is indicitive of the society we have become.
It only seems like that because of how warped the US response is. The US has profit-based news outlets who help create these overreactions so they can boost their quarterlies.

Absolute POS this woman.
To be fair, a lot of the incitement comes from delusional antifa types that just want to see the world burn..... most of which are not white men but a there are a lot of beta's and lesbians in that movement so....

EDIT: and the crazy kind of gay fanatics (as opposed to sane gays), lots of those too

I love the way people are blaming Trump for this, like America had no racial issues or unnecessary deaths of black people before 2017.... Did Bush and Obama eradicate it and it came back?

The solution is way too complicated and I think this spout of violent riots is being driven by more underlying parties with agendas rather than people actually concerned about the killing of black people. And its a shame because it will ultimately distract from the peaceful message some people are actually trying to convey.

I think there is merit in this ....

Americans folks chatting in our office this morning are asking exactly this - whats driving it all.
The folks I am talking to are employed, middle class and among a bunch of races and nationalities.

Looking at this from a purely South African perspective - its black and white ... and its easy to draw a comparison between the racial tensions in SA and what we perceive to be those in the USA.

Looking at it from a US perspective, well, its way past the George Floyd issue, and is now - who, how and what is being profited from all of this?
I think there is more than one agenda at play.
Even on this thread, opinion has given way to snappy finger pointing and heal biting. Playing the OP over playing the issue at hand for some personal satisfaction.

To your comment - I am literally being spammed with news flashes every 10 minutes, and of course, the complimentary before the 0.99c special for our online tabloid offer....

So, yeah, I think part of the fuel to this is tabloid profits.
