George Floyd death

Our government is supporting the unrest worldwide caused by Floyd's death while resisting arrest. However, here back at home, Khoza was assaulted in his own yard and died following that. The case was quickly investigated and closed clearing the SANDF of any wrong doing.

Khosa is just one instance in a long line of instances, I do recall at the time mentioning this incident on this forum, there are many others

Consequences? What consequences?

Nice to know you will not be punished if the political party in your state supports the protests.

He also committed a criminal act. A far more serious one.

Did he get a knee?
Now you are complaining about the lack of police brutality in one instance. Lol nobody can please you

Bending the knee. The new hobby for the "decent people" that promote discrimination based on race. It is time Black Twitter starts to enforce this.
Procedure:
Are you a liberal or progressive? If the answer is yes the demand them to bend the knee. If no, move on.
Well he should probably kneel. He has a lot of racism to apologise for.

There seems to be no shortage of police brutality in the Democrat run cities.
Well it is the party of law and order and Joe Crime Bill "lock them up", "beyond the pale", "shoot them in the legs" Biden.

China, Iran and Russia seize on the moment to ridicule a rival they traditionally see as a stern, patronizing parent

Is the US still the world's moral leader? Not after what Trump just did this week

Remnants of the Berlin Wall in Germany still stand as a reminder that freedoms have always been hard won. Today, part of the wall has been painted over with a mural of George Floyd and the words "I can't breathe," another reminder of how quickly freedoms can be taken away.

The harrowing video of Floyd, an unarmed black American, meeting his death as police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for more than eight minutes has sent shockwaves around the world, mobilizing protesters across Europe and Africa, and as far away as Australia and New Zealand.

But beyond the death of yet another black American at the hands of police, US President Donald Trump's response to it has further infuriated people and raised an important question: Is the US still the world's moral guardian?
This week, at least, the answer is a resounding No.

"We, the National Football League, admit we were wrong for not listening to NFL players earlier and encourage all players speak out."

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Friday apologized to players for not listening to their concerns regarding racism sooner.

In a video posted to Twitter, Goodell offered his condolences to families who have endured "police brutality," including George Floyd, a black man who died while in Minneapolis police custody last week; Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old woman killed during a police raid in Kentucky; and Ahmaud Arbery, who was gunned down while out for a jog in Georgia.

"We, the National Football League, condemn racism and the systematic oppression of black people," he said. "We, the National Football League, admit we were wrong for not listening to NFL players earlier and encourage all players to speak out and peacefully protest."

I like the part where the media has basically scrubbed looting from its references and they are now peaceful protestors ,almost as if they are trying to pin the fallout of a guy dying due to meth/fentanyl/police/pre-existing conditions(edit- forgot about covid 19) on someone other than the protestors and looters starting out violently.

Manx Radio took Stu Peters off air after Wednesday's programme in which a black caller challenged him for writing "all lives matter" in an online forum.

"I've had no more privilege in my life than you have. I'm a white man, you're a black man," he told Jordan Maguire.

Manx Radio said it had referred the issue to the Communications Commission.

Mr Peters declined to comment when contacted by the BBC.

Manx Radio's managing director Chris Sully said: "Stu Peters will not be presenting the Late Show whilst an investigation takes place.

"We await [the Commission's] guidance on any potential breach of the Broadcast Code.

"Manx Radio does not condone racism in any form amongst its staff.

"We are actively working with the caller involved to develop some ideas to debate the issues involved."

LINK TO BROADCAST (relevant calls start at approx. 13mins & 2hrs 5mins) - https://www.manxradio.com/radioplayer/fm/od/items/the-late-show-3rd-june/

Stu Peters of Manx Radio used his platform as a presenter to publicly mock & laugh at racism. Whilst speaking with a black man live on air, he stated that he has never experienced more privilege than a black person and continued to make racist remarks throughout the show whilst laughing off individual comments trying to stand up for black people.
MANX RADIO WE NEED YOU TO ADDRESS THIS.. This man is currently classed as a PUBLIC servant yet can’t see the issues behind the level of racism experienced on the Isle of Man or in the world, nor has he shown any interest in educating himself on these matters.

#BLACKLIVESMATTER

It is worth listening to the Late Show, this is the post made by Stu Peters which caused the heated debate on the radio show,

I expect the protest will be in front of the U.S. Embassy in Douglas - otherwise an IOM protest about police brutality in Murrica makes no sense except as a virtue signalling snowstorm.

In other news (saw this on a graph earlier) , in 2018 the USA had around fifty thousand white on black violent crimes, compared with four hundred thousand black on black and around 550,000 black on white violent crimes.

ALL Lives Matter!
