George Foreman Grill & Griddle Thread

Our GFG is about 6 years old. It tried to make a few flattie chickens, which werent bad.

It is now our toasted sarmie machine. It's awesome at toasted sarmies.

I want a toasted sarmie on my GFG now.

We use ours for sausages and sosaties - I wouldn't dream of abusing a steak with it!

If you want a healthy alternative to frying, try the Philips steamer. I've been using one for about 2 months now, it's awesome for chicken and veg.

We have the old original one and it gets used a lot. We need to replace ours now though as the non stick coating is not really working any more haha. Want to get another one but the new ones aren't as good as the old ones, they are smaller and dont have temperature settings? Also feels very cheaply made compared to ours.

Have it recoated.

I still find the health grillers (i've got the Estia from Game) to work wonders, as it also gets the fat out, and catches it in the water, making it easy to clean

like having a braai inside the house:D

Yeah I've got one of there. Works pretty well.

I bought my mom a George Foreman Grill last Christmas; she didn't want because what she really wanted was a convection oven. Not wanting the hassle of returning it, I kept it; used it only once though and not very succesfully - tried to grill fish fillets on it and they burnt due to the lack of temperature control.

Yesterday I cooked butternut, chicken fillets, 2 eggs, toast, and toasted peanut butter and strawberry jam toasties. Came out really well and very easy to use.

Did a half inch steak on mine last night. Came out perfect.

It cooks much faster than any normal method so only use half the time you usually do.

Where ? and if you know more or less how much does it cost ?

You'll have to do some creative google searching or find out who the Bauer pans get sent to. I looked into this some time ago but don't remember anything that I found.
