George & Mason (Takealot) quality ?

We had a couch set from them (a 2 seater and a single seater). It was quite cheap looking and not very comfortable. We had it for a bit and sold it to get something decent. Not worth it in my opinion. Very Mr Price Home.

Edit: the colour was also off from the pictures.

I'm always weary of brands that try to 'sound' like other better known premium brands. e.g. Fortnum & Mason in London is known as a premium luxury brand, so where does George & Mason come from? On Takealot another issue is most customers dont really understand what actual quality and luxury are. Overall I'd be very suspect myself.

The only thing I bought was a "IKEA" style server that I had to assemble, it was branded "George & Mason" - the quality was actually pretty good for an assemble-at-home product.

I suspect they import from all over Asia and just brand it, so it's a hit-and-miss
