Germany vs England

Brilliant match. Just sad England lost....

Germany just out gunned them in the end. England got caught out attacking and losing the ball with 1 defender at the back. And not once but twice :o. I would just like to clarify that I feel that goal not given had zero affect on the game. England wanted to win as they didn't want a penalty shoot out with Germany. Even with the score at 2 - 2 England would still have attacked the way they did and the same result would have been on the card.

So German vs Argentina ..... I have a feeling Germany might just have what it takes, but Argentina is by far the best team at this year's World Cup. Hard one to predict that one.

Now I'll go lick my wounds again

Time to change the signature?

Hell no, they deserve my signature till the end of the WC. They did good, just not enough in the group stages to skip Germany. But that is football I guess :p

edit: But I will be rooting for Germany now ;) Even though I know deep down in my heart they will lose against Argentina. But we can hope and see.

I have a feeling that whoever wins that match will go on to lift the cup.

Everything affects everything else. While they might still have attacked it would have changed the risk assessment players make. It changes the stress level and therefore not only the players' thinking processes but also his ability to perceive what is happening, e.g. his field of vision narrows. Adrenaline may pump to such an extent that the fight or flight response may shift towards 'freeze', i.e. begins to restrict the playes mobility. These are known effects of stress, probably unquantifiable, but present.

Bunch of Wan_k__s English Bacon to the Germans Heskey&Co old crocks simply not good enough glad you are going home
This world Cup is better off without the English, French and Italy you will note all played with players over the hill.

Going home sweet chariots

What's the difference between the English team and a tea bag? The tea bag stays in the cup longer.

What do you call an Englishman in the knock-out rounds of the World Cup? A referee!

Remember this?

And the comments that followed?

Revenge is sweeeeeeeeet!!!

Like it was yesterday. :D

Meanwhile goalkeeper Manuel Neuer all but admitted he had a lucky escape after the goal that never was. With England 2-1 down, Frank Lampard was convinced he had equalised when his shot beat Neuer before hitting the underside of the bar.

It was pivotal moment in the match and Neuer was all smiles at the end of the game.

He said: "I tried not to react to the referee and just concentrate on what was happening - it was difficult. I knew it was close. Then I saw it on the television in the doping control office and what actually happened. I knew it was tight - probably about two metres.''

Oxo are introducing a new white Oxo cube with a red cross in support of the England team. It's called the Laughing Stock.

Apparently England are changing the 3 lions on the shirt to 3 tampons. A spokesman for the FA said this is to represent the worst period they have ever had.

All future England matches have been moved to the Gay Adult Channel. Apparently the sight of 11 arseholes getting hammered for 90 minutes was far too explicit for ITV.

So an angry fan managed to get into the England changing room after last night’s game. Apparently Robert Green tried to grab the man but missed.

The England team went to visit an orphanage in South Africa this morning – “it is so good to put a smile on the faces of people with no hope, constant struggling and facing the impossible” said Sipho Umboto aged 6.

All these Rob Green jokes are getting out of hand. In fact, they're crossing the line.

I’m going to be bold here, and suggest we play Heskey at left back.............left back at Heathrow Airport!!!!
