Getting 4MB line, what to expect?

Local seems to be fast, international seems to be the problem. I'll quickly try a speedtest from an international server...

OK I AM OFFICIALLY BLASTED AWAY!!!!

This speed is crazy! I got my Line today, but was already capped But then bought 1GB

The speed is amazing, I get 420KBPS. Videos don't even load, it's unbelievable.

I am so glad that 512 and 384 is going to fall away in any way (from telkom that is), only 4Mb, 8Mb, and the later to be seen 12Mb will be available. But dammit, then I will once again have the slowest internet!!!!

My experience with 4mbit for 384 kbit is that when downloading, you can still browse and game, even skype without feeling it drastically, as far as download speed... well considering that you can pull 1.5 Gb an hour as opposed to waiting 7 hours, yes you'll notice it... 4 mbit was the best move ever, but it is pricey..

Ok thanx, that's about the same as I get on MTN HSDPA. But I'm still wondering about Telkom's uncapped, I really hope the pricing isn't too bad... I called a few of the guys "higher up" but they also seem to be in the dark.

This is what I think of Telkom cap:

Ok I didn't want to reveal this earlier because I was afraid that people will track my IP and assassinate me, but what the hell. I work for Telkom. So I get employee prices, which are quite good. So in the end when the new prices are implemented I will probably pay less at Telkom, even if their prices are higher than Mweb. But it depends on exactly how much higher.
