While I would never recommend you buying a VW due to my personal biasness I am really think that this is a bad buy looking at the specs. It is way too old and you will not be able to rely on this car. At that age (never mind the millage) some things just tend to go one after another - like coolings pipes - which can be disastrous.

rust is like cancer mate ... id stay away spend a lil more and get a non rust car
