Well first tip I have when looking is to make sure I can spell stuff like "overseas" and "emigrating" correctly. It's pretty important to try and make a good impression when you're sending out a cover-letter e-mail with your CV attached.
Also perhaps mention in your e-mail that you have a British Passport and you're available for a Skype chat/phone interview at any point in time and can cover your own expenses in getting there (which you hope you can). Pretend like you're not emigrating, but that you only want to return to Great Britain and have thought of being pro-active in finding work first before making the move.
