My 2c to add to all the IS threads.

This whole month my speeds have been beyond pathetic. Today is the last straw. It took over 30mins to download a 3 MB file off my e-mail server on my IS account when a similar sized file was downloaded in under 2 mins on a WA account off the same server.

Even local sites are timing out on IS.

The sad thing is that a company like Openweb will lose my business because their suppliers cannot get their **** together. Mr Beep, you run a fine ship, but IS is dragging your name through the dirt. I suggest you read them the riot act as obviously they care nothing for their customers, so maybe one of their top resellers may have more luck.

/me starts browsing around for good SAIX based accounts for gaming...

Just for interests sake, I switched from my SAIX local to IS local and even this forum takes ages to switch from one page to anothere, whereas on SAIX it's pretty much instant. :(

exactly.

It took almost 2 minutes to open the SGS forums!

A manky bit of string with two rusty tin cans would be a quicker way to transmit data

Dear IS. Fark you. Hope you die. Along with your non-existent service.

Lol i feel sorry for ISPs offering only/primarily IS accounts...if this keeps up they gonna lose many clients

Openweb has some pretty good SAIX accounts. ;)

i think its time saix started offering local for 5 bucks a gigs and then we can all forget about the misery thats IS

Sheesh guys, your really hostile towards IS. I also understand to a degree how you feel about IS's service, but I have to say I dont any problems at all. Local sites open quick, haven't had any account connection issues, my ping is a little bit higher when playing games with my IS account than SAIX one, but it has always been like that. Its not the end of the world, I'll remain patient, and you guys should too. If you have a business and have no other choice, then I would understand your reason(s) for cancelling your IS based account.

Openweb FTW

:)

How about expecting receiving what one has paid for?

Oh if this was just a temporary inconvenience we would probably deal with it a lot better, but this is an ongoing pain in the ass problem with IS. For the last 3 years IS's service has been getting worse and worse. Its now at the stage were its utterly pathetic. A complete waste of money.

I've canceled my IS account and I can only hope everyone else does the same.

I have also definitely noticed a general decrease in speed and a lot of inconsistency with my IS Uncapped Express account since around Sunday evening. Specifically, P2P has really gone down the drain - HTTP is still acceptable though. I think that they've also extended the throttling period/timeframe on P2P beyond what it usually is (and to make matters worse, I think I've already reached my threshold!)

Fortunately for ODS, we have our fibre plus accounts, which is our backbone
;)

We have yet to experience a problem with that.
