you could try dumeter or netlimiter.

Is there something like this that can run on a mac, I've got three macs and a PS3 and it would be nice to see who the biggest hogger is.

Also make sure you Router has a good strong password,
change it if need be. Change your ADSL Acc password.

It's way easy to "hack" a password out of a router
once you're in. And with most people getting in is as
easy as scanning a few ADSL Ip's. popping them in your
browser and trying admin/password for the login.

Really dumb question here, You are talking about a wireless internet connect? And is there any method one can use to "hack" into a non wireless connection?

thanx for the help, im gonna download netmeter in the new month and monitor it myself,,, if it disagrees with telkom who is right? telkom or the netmeter?

He is talking about a normal non-wireless connection. Yes it is easy as pie to 'hack' into a router. Easier than trying to get into a WPA protected wireless AP.

Telkom. Their monitor is mostly rather accurate imo. If I was you I'd check how many port(s) are using the telkom account...

Lets check.

Login here: https://secure.telkomsa.net/titracker/
Scroll down. Under "SELECT REPORT TYPE" select "Audit Trail(All Usage)" and "Monthly" and select July 2008 in the dropdown menu. Click Submit.

Now, check under the heading "NASPORT". Does the info there change at all? Or does it stay static throughout?

Where do you use your account? Just at home?

Same here we also get capped like the 15th of the month!! And its quite frustrating, i don't understand how i use 2GB in 15days then when i change to axxess prepaid i barely use a gig for the rest of the month, doesn't make sense!!

And my router is DEFINATELY off to wireless!

me thinks telkom is screwing me.

Regards
Peder

What do you mean static throughout?

Its jumping around if thats what you mean, i did download a bit one day but that was it, i don't understand how i download almost 100megs a day!!

okay i downloaded netmeter,,, but we have 3 PC's at home, does it track all 3 if installed only on 1? or how does it work?

If you are with TI, you can always check both the SAIX and the TItracker. They are independent of each other. If they are both similar, then the chances of them being wrong is very little.

How do you not know what static means?
static (1) Refers to something that is fixed and unchanging...

check under the heading "NASPORT". Does the info there change [DYNAMIC] at all? Or does it stay [STATIC] throughout?

Seems quite clear to me.

I'm not talking about your usage. Follow my instructions again. Check under the "NASPORT" column. I want to know if it stays the same (remains static) the whole time eg...
https://secure.telkomsa.net/titracker/
Code:
[B]NASPORT[/B]
5/2/9/16.570
5/2/9/16.570
5/2/9/16.570

OR if it changes eg...

Code:
[B]NASPORT[/B]
7/3/8/11.670
5/2/9/16.570
4/1/9/18.110
Async1/18

Don't just check a few lines, to be sure quickly glance through a whole month eg. Then report back ;)
